The light has begun to shrink back from the day so that once again we are reminded we have come to another autumnal equinox so must now begin our journey through the harvest of fall and the hidden gestation of life in the course of the winter.
Our gardens are giving up their treasures to sustain us through the frigid days to come while our flowers, both regal and demure, defiantly raise their faces to the diminished rays of the sun.
