Harold was born in Chicago, raised in Dyer and lived his adult life in Hammond.  He successfully led home and land development companies and a lumber yard, initially in partnership with his brother Herbert until Herbert's untimely death in 1969.  Harold did a major remodel and renovation of Bishop Noll Institute.  He also built many area churches and residential communities.  He created or participated in development of over 4000 acres in Northwest Indiana, including Briar Ridge, Castlewood, Woodland Estates, Sheffield Estates and many others.  More important to Harold was his family and the Catholic Church.  He worked tirelessly for both.  His unbounded charity was exemplified by his ongoing support for Bishop Noll Institute.  He was a kind and loving, just and humble man and will be missed by all who know him.  In lieu of flowers, it is requested that contributions be made to Bishop Noll Institute.
