What can warm up a winter Thursday evening in December? (Posted 1-14-09)

There are probably plenty of ways! About a dozen Jivers made House of Pizza their choice on December 4, 2008. Sharing stories over pizza and drinks, the visiting went on for hours. We might not have solved the problems of economy, jobs, and the like, but we certainly tried! Or was it vacations, hobbies, golf and jokes. Conversations ran the gamut from the presidential election, new careers, social security, kids and grandchildren, area flooding, insurance, weddings, teasing and high school stories and everything in between.
Funny thing how it takes an out-of-town Class of ‘65’er to give occasion for a friendly “Locals Get-together!” And, this time, we thank Ron Saczawa for that. Even though Ron calls “Germany” home, we’re glad he travels home yearly to visit with family and friends.
Check out our PHOTO ALBUM Section for the smiling faces of us now 61-year-olds! Can it be??? We enjoyed learning that many from our happy group that evening had not only gone to high school together, but grade school as well, and, grew up in the same neighborhoods! Some of us Jivers came to realize that even our folks attended Bishop Noll (then known as Catholic Central) together!
Enjoying the social evening were Paulette (Pociask) Michalak, Eileen McKern, Ron Saczawa, Tory Hudspeth, Dan Hoffman, John Makarowski, Ted Zagar, Jim Wieser, Linda (Szymanski) Colter, Annette (Gordon) Dorn, spouse non-Jivers Rick Dorn and Dick Colter, and even an old neighbor of Ron’s who attended OLPH and a couple BNI years, John Fornari. What great fun we all had!
Maybe NEXT time, our informal get-together will include YOU! Now THAT would make for another perfect evening! Until then, take care, fellow classmates.
