Two From Class To Be Ordained as Deacons 6-6-09 (Posted 4-16-09)

Monday, September 22, 2008

For the past six years, Dan Zurawski and Ed Schultz, both of St. John, IN, have been studying for this important position in the Catholic Church. As Deacons, they not only will assist their parish presider at Mass, but will also preach, baptize, marry, and give annointing to the sick, along with many other parish duties.

The Mass of Ordination for the eight new permanent deacons and one transitional deacon for the Diocese of Gary is scheduled for 10:30 AM on June 6, 2009 at Holy Angels Cathedral in Gary.  Anyone that wishes to attend is welcome.

If you wish to extend well wishes to these classmates, Dan can be reached at danrxman@msn.com and Ed at ed.shultz@ssfhs.org.
