Brother of Classmate Barb (Bielak) Knight Has Died (Posted 5/7/09)

Jerome "Jerry" Bielak passed away Friday, April 17, 2009 in Montezuma, IN. He was born to Mary and Joseph Bielak on October 19, 1943 in East Chicago, IN. Jerry graduated from Hammond Tech in 1961. He served in the U.S. Army from 1966-1971. He retired from Millwright Local 1043 in September 2000. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents.

 

 He is survived by his wife, Sharon; daughters: Jennifer (Mike) Fane and Judy (Eric) Schlosser; stepsons: Dennis (Denise) Kemper and David (Melissa Juscik) Kemper; grandchildren: Sugar, Kemper and M'lynn Fane; step grandchildren: Ryan, Amanda and Caleb Kemper; siblings: James (Betty), Bob (Pauline) and Joseph (Anna Mae) Bielak, Victoria Nordyke and Barbara (Don) Knight.

 

 Jerry was a member of Montezuma Fish & Game, McKinley Lodge 712, FOE 3117 and VFW 802. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Jerry will be missed by his family and many friends in the Hammond and Montezuma area. A Celebration of Jerry's Life will be held Friday, May 8, 2009 at 10:30 AM at St. Stanislaus Church, 808 W. 150th, East Chicago, IN. Visitation will be Friday morning from 9:30-10:30 AM at the church.
