Susan (Liscinsky) Laurinec Loses Her Mother (Posted 6-4-09)

Agnes B. Liscinsky (nee Dybel), 92, of Whiting, passed away Monday, June 1, 2009 at the Hammond-Whiting Care Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Andrew G. Liscinsky who passed away December 20, 2002; loving mother of Susan (Richard) Laurinec of Whiting and Michael (Camille) Liscinsky of Pacific Grove, CA; cherished grandmother of Christian and Chad Liscinsky both of San Francisco, CA, Bryan (Susan) Laurinec of Naperville, IL, Christopher (Stephanie) Laurinec of Ypsilanti, MI, Stacey Double of Whiting and Andrew Laurinec of Cedar Lake; adoring great grandma of Robin, Linsey, Collin, Amanda, Paige and Grant; dearest sister of Anna (late Joseph) Marciniak of Brookfield, IL, Charles (Dorothy) Dybel of Munster and the late Sophia Noworyta, Rose Zivich, Joseph Dybel and Andrew Dybel; dear sister-in-law of Helen Dybel and Mary Therese Dybel both of Whiting; and fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 6, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. at the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th Street, Whiting, IN.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Whiting with Rev. Stanley J. Dominik officiating.  Entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL.  Visitation at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Agnes Liscinsky was born on March 9, 1917 to Martin and Agnes (Golab) Dybel and was a lifelong resident of Whiting. She attended St. Adalbert School and was a graduate of Whiting High School. Agnes was an active and devoted member of Sacred Heart Church, Whiting. She was also active for many years in several local organizations including the Sacred Heart Rosary Society, the Whiting Women's Club, the Bishop Noll Alumni Mother's Club and the Polish National Alliance. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Hammond-Whiting Care Center and the Harbor Light Hospice for all of the compassionate care and support that was shown.
