Joseph E. Whelan, age 61, late of Tinley Park, IL, died on June 18, 2009 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Susan, nee Dempsey; loving father of Kimberly; caring brother of Patricia (Victor) Hoffman, Kathleen Bogusz and the late Barbara Whelan; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral will be held on Monday, June 22, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Vandenberg Funeral Home, 17248 S. Harlem Avenue, Tinley Park, IL 60477.  Interment at Mt. Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst, IL. Visitation held on Sunday, June 21, 2009 from 2:00-8:00 PM. (708-532-1635 or vandenbergfuneralhome.com).
