Diane's message reads:

Hi, I wanted to let you know that everything went o.k. even though the doctor had a few surprises when he opened me up.  He found two nodules on my thyroid and he removed those along with part of one thyroid.  He also had to remove three of the four parathyroids.  Surgery was bigger than we thought and it lasted three hours.  I don't have much pain; it's mostly sore and tender.  I will have to probably monitor my thyroid levels and calcium in my blood.  I'm very tired right now since I didn't sleep much last night.  The only thing that hurts is where the "interns" or student doctors jabbed me trying to put in the IV's!!!  Thankfully, I was asleep. Thanks for all the prayers and you can see how prayer helps. Love you all, Diane
