Too soon he left us..

Edward Joseph Konetski, age 62, of LaPorte, passed away December 17, 2009. He was born March 19, 1947 in Chicago, IL. He is survived by his wife, Nancy (nee Kirk) of 38 years; son, Steven (Sherry) Konetski; grandsons: Craig Kominowski, Damon Konetski, Aaron (Mirika) Searing, and Adam Reed; great granddaughter, Madeline Reed and future great grandson Baby Boy Searing due April 2010. Also surviving is his brother, Thomas (Fern) Konetski; sisters: Margie (Ron) Bissonnette, Linda Pancheri, and Cathy (Steve) Whitt; sisters-in-law: Brenda Galinski and Sherry Huber and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents: Kay and Mel Konetski and parents-in-law: Chuck and Mary Kirk.

 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 7:00 PM at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Rd. (two blocks south of Ridge Rd.), Highland, IN, with Deacon Joe Codespoti officiating. Private burial to follow. Friends are invited to meet with the family also on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 from 3:00-8:00 PM at Kuiper Funeral Home. Ed was retired from Welded Tube where he was a crane operator and union steward. He was a proud member of the Eagle Scouts and a previous member of the Order of the Arrow. He was an avid Notre Dame Football fan, a former Pop Warner coach and Scout Master. He loved all animals, fishing, music, and motorcycling. Ed was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
