Sister of Kathy Sobkowicz has Died (Posted 1/7/10)

Kathy Sobkowicz’ sister, Jackie, passed away a few days ago from cancer.  In less than two short years, Kathy has sadly lost all three of her sisters and her mother.  Please keep Kathy in your prayers.

Jacqueline (Jackie) Wandel (nee Sobkowicz), age 57, of Hammond, IN passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2010.  She is survived by her sister, Kathy (Mike Engleton) Sobkowicz; nephew Michael Bruhn, niece Jill (Scott) Hughes, and brother-in-law Alex Kozlowski.  Preceded in death by her parents Walter and Ann Sobkowicz, sisters: Susie Kozlowski and Nancy Bruhn-Greer.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 9, 2010, 10 AM at St. Maria Goretti Church, 500 Northgate Drive, Dyer, IN.

 

Jackie was retired from the City of East Chicago.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to Hospice of the Calumet Area in her memory would be appreciated.   www.kishfuneralhome.net.
