It was reassuring to get this message today (April 13, 2010) from Ginny. She also sent some great photos from her trip but we can't copy them to post here. We are working on that. We can share her Germany shots and some others she recently has sent. See the Photo Album page for those.
"We actually missed all the real action last Saturday because we were celebrating an early Thai New Year in Luan Prabang, Laos.
We are not happy with the situation and the protesters are truly out of control...or in control depending how you look at it. So far nothing is happening in our neighborhood.
We keep up to date on the news and read the Bangkok Post everyday and stay away from the troubled areas. That doesn't mean things can't get worse. We are not worried, just alert. I will drive to work tomorrow as usual...".
Ginny also jet-setted to Hanover, Germany where she spoke to about 80 German physicians on the WHO (World Health Organization) International Patient Safety Goals. The whole conference was in German except for her presentation! Ginny also had a chance to drive an airbus simulator while there. And she thought she and Lou went to Thailand to retire!
