Andrea Zych Gauger Loses Mom at 90 (Posted 5/24/10)

Mary Zych (nee Owsiak), age 90, of Munster, formerly of East Chicago, IN passed away Friday, May 21, 2010. She is survived by her children: Joseph A. (Trina) Zych, Lawrence (Judith) Zych, Andrea (Michael) Gauger, Terence (Karen) Zych, and Philip Zych; grandchildren: Bettina Galindo, Kelly Gauger (Rexon Ryu), Eric Gauger (Margaret Stosz), and Christine Connors; great grandchildren: Austin Connors, Maya Ryu, Zoe Ryu, Ema Gauger, and Avery Gauger; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents: Andrew and Anna Owsiak; husband, Joseph; sisters: Eleanor (Bruno) Kiebles; and Elegiusz Owsiak.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at 9:30 AM at the Lesniak Funeral Home, 4918 Magoun Ave, East Chicago, IN with a 10:00 AM Mass at St. Stanislaus Church with Msgr. John J. Siekierski officiating. Burial at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, IN.
Friends may call at the Lesniak Funeral Homefor visitation on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM with Rosary Prayer Service at 4:00 PM. Mrs. Zych was a longtime resident of East Chicago. A member of St. Stanislaus Church, and Ladies Rosary Sodality Rose No. 25. In lieu of flowers contributions to Ladies Rosary Sodality would be appreciated.
