Reflections by Rima as the New Year Begins (Posted 1/10)

Ever so slowly, almost imperceptibly, Mother Earth has softened her mantle and greened the grass. The spring winds bellow, mussing our hair and sending unsecured caps airborne even as it stirs the underground rivers to bring fertility back to our earthly home. The winds may bellow but we, basking in the lengthening angle of the sun each growing day, recognize the Sun is Lord over all other elements and we chuckle.
We find ourselves uneasy, restless, ready for something new, as our own unconscious rivers are reawakened from their winter slumber. We stretch longingly toward the Light, knowing we will find ourselves within it. It is a time to reinvent ourselves yet again. To shed the layers of habit and reaction to become more conscious of who we are and have always been.
Spring reminds us that we cannot linger in the frigidity of winter anymore than can the daffodil or robin. We are called to join all of Creation in this joyful dance of life.
Be happy;
Like yourself;
Love others;
Imagine your best life.
Simple, yet powerful, admonitions for fulfillment and contentment.
